A welding set and its cables standing in a dark workshop corner

Nine options · every price · every kilogram

Priced by what they change about the seam

An option on a groomer is not a trim level. Each of these either changes the line the machine leaves, or changes the ground it can leave one on. Nothing here is a badge.

Read this before the list

You have 120 kilograms to spend

The frame, the belts and the ground-pressure figure are all signed off at 3 600 kg. A bare T4 leaves the floor at 3 480 kg. Everything you add comes out of the same 120 kg, and when a basket runs past it we will tell you which option to drop rather than quietly uprating the machine.

Two baskets in six years have come back to us over-weight. Both times it was the winch plus the extra pack, and both times we fitted the winch and a 42 kWh pack with a second charge lead instead.

Nine options

Winch, 4.0 tonne

1 050 m of 11 mm Dyneema on a free-spooling drum, anchored to a ground screw or a tree strop. Takes the machine to 45°. The rope is a consumable: budget one every four seasons at € 3 900.

Snow-depth radar and mapping

Ground-penetrating head under the blade, 3 cm resolution to 1.2 m, with a cab screen and a nightly track log you can open on a laptop. Finds the thin base before the tiller finds the culvert.

€ 17 400

+38 kg · retro-fit · 1 day on site

Pack extension to 63 kWh

Three more modules in the same floor, silent running to 4 h 10. Only worth buying if your quiet hours are genuinely longer than the loop that passes the houses.

€ 22 900

Second track setter

A combi head that leaves classic grooves on one side of the pass and flat corduroy on the other. Clubs running both disciplines on a single four-metre trail buy this first.

€ 8 600

+72 kg · retro-fit · fitted at handover

Biathlon range rake

4 800 mm wide, folds against the tiller for transport, flattens a shooting lane to 15 mm over its width in one pass. Needs a 5 m turning area at each end of the range.

€ 6 300

Heated blade wings

Two 400 W elements in the wing faces for the four nights a season when the snow sits at zero and sticks to everything. Switched off the rest of the winter.

€ 4 150

+11 kg · retro-fit · half a day

Camera ring, five lenses

Five low-light cameras around the machine, stitched to one cab screen. Written for reversing a tiller into a 2.6 m shed door in the dark, which is where most of the damage happens.

€ 3 900

+14 kg · retro-fit · half a day

Spare track set, Hardox grousers

A full set of belts and bars on a pallet, so a torn belt is a morning rather than a fortnight. Most customers buy this in year three; one bought it with the machine and used it in week nine.

€ 12 800

shelf item · no mass on the machine

Trailer, five tonne

2 200 mm deck, ramps, winch post, road legal in Norway, Sweden and Finland without a permit. Blade comes off in eleven minutes and travels on the deck beside the machine.

€ 14 600

separate unit · delivered with the machine

Hand tools, drills and cutters laid out across a bench
The setter bench, Skistuvegen 14. Every groove tool is cut and shimmed here before it goes on a machine.

Pass two · uphill · the two that argue with each other

The winch and the extra pack cannot both come

214 kg and 186 kg against a 120 kg allowance. If your trail has a 38° pitch and a quiet-hours window of four hours, something has to give, and it is almost always the pack: a second charge lead at the far shed costs € 1 200 and buys the same silence.

We will model this with you off your own altitude profile before you sign anything. It takes about twenty minutes on the telephone and it has changed four orders out of the last eleven.

Pass three · downhill · what we will not fit

Five things nobody can order

  • A third seat. The cab is signed off for two and the belt anchors are not there.
  • A blade wider than 2 600 mm. It fouls the bridge the machine exists to cross.
  • Another maker's tiller. We cannot test it and we will not warrant the seam it leaves.
  • A roof rack or a ski carrier. The light bar is up there and the beams need to be clean.
  • Paint other than the two we spray. A one-off colour means a one-off touch-up tin forever.

If you need one of these badly enough, say so on the telephone. Twice we have changed our minds, and both times it took a drawing from the customer before it took a price from us.

Build a basket with us, not with a configurator

There is no slider on this site. Tell us the trail, we will put the basket together, print the mass and send you a single price with every line on it.
